Today’s Hop List:

I wanted to squeeze one more Easter card in. These are the cutest carrots ever, it's the leafy tops that give them the extra oomph! I die cut several and glued the leaves in between two carrots. I used a little white gel pen to emphasize the impressions the die made. They'd be great on a garden card as well.

I added the new pretty script Greeting die on the inside along with one more little cute carrot. Finished card is 5" square.

Today’s Hop List:

I've got  CAS card for today using all white and ivory. Something so clean about using just these two colors... I just love the result, even if it doesn't photograph all that well. I cut the new Butterfly Block Background three times using heavy white card stock. I glued all three pieces together for a deeper element type look rather than just a single layer of the die cut.

In the center of some of the flowers I added some sparkly Swarovski Crystals. A little silver cord bow wraps around the front panel of the card.

On the inside I added my favorite stitched rectangle frame and the new sentiment Best Wishes. This is just in time for some spring wedding cards! Finished card is an A2.

Check out the spring filled Easter inspired designs from the DT:

I used the new Ornate Oval Frame today to frame a little scene form Authentique paper. There are three different cut pieces to this frame, but I assembled them all together. I die cut the frame three times... stacking all the layers up to make more of an element on the card.

The rectangle Scalloped frame is from the Rectangle 6 in 1 Frame set. I popped up that layer with foam tape for extra dimension. All of the paper is from the Springtime Authentique Collection.

On the inside I added a layer using the All in One Rectangle Frame set... I use this stitched frame over and over! Can you wear out a die? This one might be endanger. I never even put it away! Finished card is an A2.

I don't even know how this happened... pretty sure I've never ever used this much pink! lol! An abundance of pink topped off with a frou frou bow to boot! I made my own background paper by stamping the little buttons with pink ink. I also added the teeny tiny baby footprints on the banner. I used my MISTI to help me get a nice clean imprint by stamping multiple times.

The banner and pink frames are popped up and down to give dimension.

On the inside I added the NEW Congratulations Die cut. Love this arc.. works for a dressy or fun card! Finished card size in an A2.

Friday- March 4th

Saturday – March 5th
I hop you are having fun hopping along and checking out all the amazing designs the teams came up with! I made a little canvas to share today. I started with a 4x6 Canvas covered with Watercolor Paper. Ken's Mixed Media Boards do a great job with a project like this too! I really stepped out of my comfort zone with this project and had a lot of fun.

I die cut some fun element out of Copper Sheeting with IO Dies.

Here are the colors I used. I wet my canvas and let my color mix really sink in... The little lines you see I just used my fingernails to scratch up the canvas to let the color settle in the grooves. I also added in some of new Liquid Metals.... ohhhh.... these are really yummy!!! I knew I wanted to do something more vintage looking in color, so I kept my colors pretty limited.
Colorburst: Lemon Yellow & Sepia
Liquid Metal: Copper & Yellow Gold

The canvas dried quickly and I started layering me Memento Ink to give it a little age and a bit of a worn look.  It's not easily seen in the picture, but let me tell you the shimmer from the Liquid Metals is VERY nice! And a little drop goes a long way.

Mix your Colorburst with other ingredients for a different look!
I die cut the butterfly and metal accents in the corners from Copper Sheeting. The bottom butterfly I painted with White Dylusions Paint. The Copper Butterfly I dripped with Crackle Accents and Glossy Accents then poofed a little Vintage Colorburst on it.

After the Glossy Drips and White Paint dried.... you can see how the color morphed and bled through.

This is the same before and after... wet (above picture)  and then dried is the below picture! As it dried... the ranger products ended up losing a little shine and I think looks more like dripped wax.

I liked mixing the Crackle and Glossy.... added a little extra with some of the cracks! I just poured one on top of the other... .a little here and there.

As I built up my background I added few other ingredients...
Some torn book pages for texture, I sanded some away too.
Stencils with sponged Memento Black or paint
Dylusions White Paint (it isn't bright white because the paint will interact with the Colorburst)
I stamped the What if Fly with Versafine Black
I used a White Sharpie Fine Tip Marker to highlight with white

Thanks for hopping with us today!

Chick Magnet!

How cute is this little bunny? The image is named Chick Magnet, from Whipper Snapper. I used my Perfect Layer Rulers to add a few layers to make a fun card for today's post.  I used dies to create a shaped card base but still added lots of straight layers to the mix for a little aded interest.

After I finished assembling the card I added a few extra accents to dress it up...
Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.
Glossy Accents to the egg and noses to a little shine.
I used a finalize glue applicator to add a bead of glue and add the bakers twine.

I used MFT's Stitched Square Die to cut out my image. I airbrushed the sky background (masking the bunny) using a cloud die cut, moving it as I airbrushed to give me a puffy cloud background. You can see the Copics above that I used to color the bunny.

To create the layers with multiple papers... I glued the bunny to background papers as shown. Use a sharp craft knife to help cut through the multiple card stock layers.

I used the 1/2" mark on my Mini Perfect Layers to line up to the edge and cut my layer.

On the inside I added a little die cut sentiment. I used Bo Bunny's Double Dot paper to die cut it.
  • Stamps: #MY962 Chick Magnet from Whippersnapper
  • Dies: MFT Stitched Squares, Lifestyle Labels 8 Frames - for card base, Cheery Lynn Quilling Strips Dies, Elizabeth Crafts Cloud Die used as mask to airbrush Clouds, IO Easter Joy Die
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Splash away girls!

I've been wanting to do something with these fun droplets. I kept thinking about using them with an absence of color.. but then with today's challenge I thought I'd color up a little rainbow. As always I struggle with leaving blank space. It's such a challenge not to fill it all up!

I stamped the droplets in Memento Tuxedo Black.
Above are the Copic Colors I used to color with today.

I added Glossy Accents to the droplets to give them a little shine.

A few more little drops on the inside with the sentiment. Finished card is an A2.

ACK! I got my days totally mixed up this week and was behind a day with my posting for Serendipity! I grabbed this little bun bun to color up today! He's a sweet little image that colors up quick and cute!

I used BG10 in the background for a little shading. I coordinated my other Copic colors by matching them to the patterned paper I was using on my card.

I used a fine line Glue applicator to apply a little bead of glue around the green frame and then lined the edges with some pink embroidery floss. The frame is raised up on foam tape, with the bunny recessed adding a little dimension.

On the inside I used Memento's Teal Zeal to stamp the sentiment. Finished card is an A2.

We have a blog up to look forward to!
