I played with with Dina's beautiful Cosmos Flowers today. Pulling some Copics I rarely use.... good to break out of your favorites every once in a while! I did some simple masking to overlap the flower images.

Here are the Copics I used to color today. I left the green out... I added some YG67 to the stems. But it was the last color add and didn't make the picture!

I used the Diamond Maze Cover-a-Card background to create my own pattern paper, simply stamping it in black. after assembling the card I dabbed some Crackle Accents over the flowers, just using my finger applying a super thin coat. It is just starting to dry and crack in the photo.

On the inside I added the brush words greetings from the Everyday Words Clear Set. This set has a little of everything in it, I think it will stay on the desk for a little bit as my go to inside words!

The Baby Elephant image was stamped in the front first.
I then masked it airbrushed a little cloud background using Copic B52. I added a little balloon to the tail using the Party Balloon Die.
Here are the Copics I used to color up the little elephant. I used the colorless blender to dab and add a few little texture spots.

The outside diet frame is raised up and the center panel recessed for some added dimension. The little balloon is popped up using dimensional silicone.

I'd never forget you is a new stamp for this month and I tucked it on the inside. Perfect companion sentiment to go with the adorable little elephant!

I am the last stop on the hop today...

Impression Obsession Striped Heart & Perfect Layers!

Finishing up some last minute Valentine's cards?
Grab your Perfect Layer Rulers and some fun paper and stamps and get 'em done! Layers a simple way to really give your card a little extra WOW... without a lot of work!

I stamped the striped heart using Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper.  Above are the Copic Markers I used to color it.

Use layers in-between your different patterned paper to help give definition and add interest. Foam tape helps adds dimension in between the layers.

Perfect Layer Rulers are the perfect got o tool to add a lot of interest to your card very easily! Small little layers in between those patterns help break it up and give it a clean feel. The small black lines are 1/16" in size. This was a left over piece from my card front. Always using my leftovers for the inside! Finished card is an A2.

I really was in the mood to color! So I pulled out the new Vintage Honeycomb Background once again. Every time I see this I think of Sandy's Hex Chart for Copics. I gave the background a little rainbow makeover and added a little die cut. After all the coloring I couldn't cover it up!

AND then.... after I colored in the little hexes I thought it would be fun to make them all glossy! About halfway through I was rethinking that idea! LOL... but kept going. It is vibrant and very shiny in person!

Copics used:
R46, R43, YR18, YR09, YR04, Y35, Y11, G43, G46, B41, B45, B26, BV17, BV11, V09, V06

The die cut heart is popped up for a little added dimension.

A little inside stamping from the set "Count the Ways" for that forever friend!

This beautiful floral paper inspired a wedding theme for today's card. I used the Congratulations Die as my focal point. I die cut it using heavyweight ivory paper, three times, glueing them all together in a stack to create a little chipboard like element.

I used a portion of the Floral Frame Die to add a little border in ivory under the bow. This ribbon is fluffy and luscious... perfect for a wedding card! When I add bows on to paper, I always use Ultimate Glue to adhere them.

On the inside I added my left over floral paper along the edge. I also matted the liner in green using my Perfect Layer Rulers, adding a 1/16" edge. I love this sentiment on a wedding card! Finished card is an A2.
