The usual crew....

Our Tag It Challenge continues sharing a little inspiration for those of you making some last minute tags for your Christmas packages. Today I used the Bandana Die to make my base, using a square to cover up most of the die cut so just the little lacy edges peek out. I used Copics to color up the Holly image to decorate the tag front. I added a little Glossy Accents to the berries to give it a little shine.

Impression Obsession: Let it Snow!

Let it Snow!
that's this week's challenge from Impression Obsession. Join the IO Team and play along in our challenge for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate. Just use IO stamps or dies, create and link up! You don't have to have a blog to play!
For more challenge info you can go here to the IO Blog.

Check out the winter inspiration the DT has for you today:

It's rainy and certainly not snowing here in Atlanta... We've had crazy weather this week and it's been in the mid seventies this week. Hopefully we won't have to pay for this nice weather later with the wintery stuff! I much prefer my snow to stay on cards! I used one of my fave Snowflake dies from IO for my card today. I'm still trying to embrace white space and a simpler CAS Style... some days I like more than other days.

I used Gold Mirri Cardstock for some of my die cut layers, which is brilliant and shiny in person. I die cut the snowflake in white and gold and pieced it back together on my card. front. This is a super delicate die cut, so it does take a little patience to put the pieces together with out mangling them. I also made sure to use heavier card stock so that the pieces would have a little bit of extra strength. The result is lovely though and I added some extra shine with some Swarovski Crystals

On the inside I continued with the gold... adding the Happy Holidays Die and some Small Snowflakes. Finished card is an A2.

Christmas Tree Farm

Love this little Christmas Tree Farm scene image. I thought I'd share a little coloring tutorial with you and show you how a couple of simple layers with the fabulous Perfect Layer Rulers can create a fast holiday card.

I cut the image out using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Dies. My favorite ink to stamp when using Copics or Chameleons is always Memento.  I added a little soft color for the sky and snow.

A little grey on the barn roof with N3 and N1. I used the E's to color in the wooden sign and barn.

The trees were just dabbed quickly with a little bit of green.

I used a White Sharpie Fine Tip pen to add some snow dots on to the scene.

I used my Mini Perfect Layers to add 1/16" layers to my card panels. Love that little skinny line! A sharp craft knife is key to getting smooth clean cuts.

It's hard to see the sparkle... but I added Bo Bunny's Sugar Glitter Paste all over the scene to bring it to life with some holiday glitz!

On the inside I added the sentiment and once again framed the liner with my Perfect Layer Rulers, adding a red mat. Finished Card is an A2.

The usual crew....

Tis the season to make some tags! I've got three fun tags for you today! All tags shapes are dies from Pretty Pink Posh and then decorated with Serendipity Dies.
I die cut the Angel three times and glued them together for a heavier look. The Tag is Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Banner Duo. Love the stitched edging around the edges! I added a few glittery enamel embellishments to add a little sparkle.

Yes... Valentine's Day will soon be here! For this tag I used the Serendipity Mini Scroll Heart and Pretty Pink Posh's Sitched Duo One Die Set. On the diagonal I inlaid the Twine and Bows die, using the little bow in the set at the top of the tag.

I used the Joy Die and paired it up with the Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Banner Duo. I used a fine line glue applicator to run a small bead of glue around the edge and added a bit of twine.

I die cut the beautiful new angel out of gold mirror card stock. It cut beautifully and looks so elegant in gold. I paired it up with a stenciled background. I applied Bo Bunny's Gold Glitter Paste through a Hero Arts stencil on to black. I've been seeing a lot of black, gold and white on holiday cards. I love the high contrast along with a little sparkle and shine!

On the inside I used up my leftover piece of stenciled background and added Serendipity's pretty Joy Die cut in gold. Finished card is an A2.

We have a special guest for November!
Hazel Hodgkins from Hazel's Paper Designs!
I hope you'll give her a big hello! After checking out Hazel, cruise on to the DT's blogs and see what they have today:

It's chilly in Atlanta, but no where near any chance of snow and that's just fine by me. The leaves are still turning here! It takes me a while to ease in to even the thought of the white stuff. So this snow angel stamp from Serendipity will do me just fine as far as wintery weather goes!

I stamped the angel twice in Memento's Teal Zeal which is a nice match to the Echo Park papers. I cut out the second angel and shaped it a little to have some curve, then popped it up using dimensional silicone. The silicone will dry with the curve holding everything in just the right place. To add a little sparkle to my icy angel, I added dabs of Bo Bunny's Sugar Paste....think Stickles but a faster drying time and the glitter is much finer.

On the inside I I die cut the Season's Greetings and added a few of my scraps at the bottom of the liner. Finished card is an A2.

  • Stamps and Dies by Serendipity: #1380G Snow Angel, #068FD Season's Greetings Die
  • Ink: Memento Teal Zeal
  • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Echo Park 6x6 Hello Winter
  • Other: Echo Park Enamel Embellishments, Foam Tape, Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Circle Dies, Spellbinder's Circles, Fishtail Flag Dies, Foam Tape, Bo Bunny Sugar Paste, Misc. Button, Ribbon

Impression Obsession - Season's Greetings

Season's Greetings... that's this week's challenge from Impression Obsession. Join the IO Team and play along in our challenge for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate. Just use IO stamps or dies, create something with the theme of Season's Greetings, have fun and link up! You don't have to have a blog to play! For more challenge info you can go here to the IO Blog.

Check out the holiday inspiration the DT has for you today:

If your in the mood to color, check out some of the images Impression Obsession has from artist Lindsay Ostrom. She has some great full size panels that color up beautifully using Copics, Pencils or Watercolors. This pretty image is called Ornaments.

There was a lot going on so I tried to keep my color choices simpler so that it didn't look too busy. You can see the Copics I used in the picture. The image actually has a nice framed line around it as well, but I ended up trimming it off.

A little sparkle from Bo Bunny's Sugar Paste and some Glossy Accents help dress the image up.

On the inside I added the sentiment from the Silver Bells Clear Set and framed it with the stitched rectangle from the All in One Rectangle 2 Die set. Finished card is an A2.
