Wag More, Bark Less!

I know I'm usually all about the cats, but the Crazy Dogs are pretty cute too! I've had fun coloring up a few dogs for a change. This guy is part of the Fido and Friends Class I'm teaching right now at Impressive Ideas. I added a few details around the edges using 1/16" Black Rainbow Tape

Copics:W9, W6, W4, W3, B05, E04, E95, YG97, YG93, Y26
I added a little paw print die on the inside and more details with the Rainbow Tape at the bottom edge. Finished card is an A2.

Check out what the IODT created with dies!
Dina Kowal

it's all about the dies for the challenge today.  I used new dies today on a fall card. Could not resist sharing the new asap! Stay tuned for our blog hop with prizes next week!

Before cutting out the leaves. I just scrambled some Copic colors down on some Neenah card stock. It's much easier to cut after coloring.

Ghoulies and Ghosties

I had a few extra spiders hanging out on my desk from a previous card and couldn't let them go to waste. So another spider card is up for today. These spiders really do give me the creeps with their jointed legs!  I used a Spider Web Die for my background instead of stamping this time.

Lots of Rainbow Tape to embellish. The purple and orange tapes are perfect for Halloween! Rainbow Tape is wrapped around the sentiment panel, on the edges of the spider web panel, on the card base and also on the inside of the card. It's such an easy addition thats already cut to the perfect size!

All stamps and Dies are from Impression Obsession:

You can find all the Rainbow Tape in various sizes and colors HERE!

Write your own story...

It's all about Rainbow Tape today and another crazy bird!
This is a fun little project that you can customize with any theme.
Here's how I fixed it up:
I painted this little box black using some Dylusions paint.
Cut the black and white chevron paper to size and glued it on, using dry adhesive.
Along the bottom edges and the top edges, I added a band of 1/4" Black Rainbow Tape and 1/8 White Tape colored with a YG25 Copic. The white tape takes Copic Marker wonderfully, so you have 358 possible custom colors!
Create your crazy bird or other decoration for the front. I added die cut black foam behind the bird to really give it some structure and make it more of an element.
You can find the write your own story at Impression Obsession. Perfect for a little pencil box!

The tape gives it a nice finished edge!

Blog Hop Stops:
Jenny Gropp - you are here!

What's worse than a spider... icky creepy crawly!!! This new Spider Die almost looks a little TOO REAL for my liking! I knew the Cover a Card Spider Web background would be the perfect backdrop for these little monsters. Anytime I use a background stamp, my MISTI is my go to tool! No more ruined paper or partially stamped areas!

Supplies from Impression Obsession for todays' card:

I inked up the spider web cover a card background using LF's white pigment ink and then heat embossed using detail clear powder. It gave it a shiny finish but it wasn't bright white. Just the look I was going for... looks like little creepy spider webs glistening in the moonlight. ICK. I LOVE using MISTI for my big backgrounds! It allows me to get perfect coverage every time!

I'm the last stop on the hop today, so I think you've been educated about how MISTI works by now. But if not, hop right over here to some fantastic videos that show you just how MISTI will change your stamping!

Have an awesome weekend and thanks for hopping along with us!

Impression Obsession - Fall Birthday

Ready to play along in a new IO Challenge?
Join in for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession Gift Certificate. The theme challenge is Fall Birthdays. Dies or stamps, it doesn't matter... just the combo theme of fall and birthday! To find all the details on how to enter you can go here to the IO Blog.

Need some inspiration?
Take a look at the IODT!

I thought I'd make an easel card today!

I used the following IO dies and stamps:

I inked up the wheat pieces using some brown ink and on the dark brown pieces I sponged on a little white ink.

On the inside, I let the Wood Grain Stamp fade off a bit, by just not pressing it down when stamping. I added a simple Birthday sentiment from the Basic Greeting set. The little brown strip of paper at the edge is added to catch the front panel so that it becomes an easel stand.

Here it is from the front, it stands up nice and easy and folds flat for mailing.

Metallic Happy Holidays!

I'm sharing a holiday card today. The sentiment Happy Holidays and scalloped frame were cut from gold mirror card stock. On the background panel I used Gold Rainbow Tape to embellish.  Makes it quick and easy! The gold metallic tape is a perfect match in color and shine.

Birdie Birthday!

Have you tuned in to the Rainbow Tape Blog yet? If not you can find all the postings from the Design Team HERE! The Black Rainbow Tape just stays out on my desk, because its such an easy add on to almost any card.
Today I've used it on the inside panel of my card with the clouds. I just added a strip of 1/8" Black Tape. I die cut the white frame, added my clouds to the inside panel and then the black edge and then put it back in place. Much easier than measuring and adding an additional layer of card stock!

Here's the hop info for today!
Today is the third day of sharing,
so start at the beginning to see all the inspiring designs!

My card is scary simple today!

Here are the details:
White card stock with Orange Marmalade Distress Ink dragged right on to the paper.
Dylusions Black Paint and my Tall Reeds Stencil came next... dabbing a little paint on with the stencil in opposite corners.
I added a strip of Tim Holtz Halloween Washi along the edges of my black stenciled design and then edged it with some 1/16" Black Rainbow Tape.
I die cut a rectangle in the panel and added more 1/16" Black Rainbow tape to define the edge.
On the white card base I stamped my spooky sentiment from Impression Obsession: Haunting Night

Enjoy the hop!
